Born in 2009, The Purple Turtles Lighting Ideas Pvt. Ltd emerged from humble roots as a boutique lighting studio in Bangalore. Today, it stands tall as the city’s go-to destination for unique and eclectic home décor.
I was recruited to the Product design team at one of their vertical brands, Beruru. Beruru is a a garden lifestyle brand that encourages urban residents in creating garden reserves amidst the busy city.

In a world blending tradition and innovation, this project embraces artisans’ timeless techniques. Staying true to their craft, we explore vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and functional design. Our collection redefines cane products, offering a fresh take on tradition for modern living.
Concept
Our collection brings the garden back into urban living, echoing Bangalore’s Garden City roots. From small spaces to vast landscapes, it’s a tribute to green living. Featuring simple forms, closely knit weaves, and vibrant patterns, each product harmonizes craft traditions with a touch of modernity. Metal details add a contemporary edge.

This simple looking basket is not what meets the eye. The storage accessory conceals articles kept inside with its hidden base and closely weaved lid.

Displays plants under a warm underglow. Light emerging from the strands of cane at the bottom creates a halo like effect. The lighting element has provision for a small pot for an inddor plant. Can be placed in side and accent tables.
